By plane

Sicily can be reached by plane through one of the 3 airports. (Palermo, Trapani/Birgi, Catania).

Both Palermo (20min) and Trapani/Birgi (40 min) are located close to Casa-Pianino.
Catania airport is located on the other side of the island at a 3 hour drive.

All airports offer rent-a-car services.

By boat

The port of Palermo can also be reached by boat. This from Genova, Livorno, Civitavecchia and Napels.

From the port of Palermo, you can reach Casa Pianino by car in about 45 minutes.

By car

Sicily can be reached by car from the mainland of Italy, using the ferry from Villa San Giovanni to Messina.

During the summer holidays the ferry departs every 40 minutes and the crossing will take you about 20 minutes.

No need to reserve tickets upfront, you can buy them at the local desk. Customers of the Telepass (drive through toll solution) can pay using Telepass.

From Messina to our villa will be a 3 hour drive.
